Sieff captures confrontations, challenges and emotions with analogue photography and her M6. Her images attest to a predilection for travelling and skin. Sieff is dualistic, able to switch spontaneously between masculinity at work and femininity in representation. But her femininity isn’t just a mood. It's the essence of all great filmmakers and art photographers. In Rendez-vous! – mirroring her first book, Les Françaises – she recounts observations about the evolution of the photographic genre, and a revolution in her own way of seeing. For several years, traversing the globe from Northern Europe to Africa, she set out to meet men who dared to bare all in front of the lens—with nonchalance or nervousness, curiosity or reticence. It was their first time, for nearly all of them.
