MATERIAL

100% recycled materials

The HOS TOTE is a zero-waste creation from HOUSE OF SHILA that embodies the studio’s ethical commitment to recycled materials. The upcycled totes are made from linen taken out of circulation, then dyed, cut, and sewn into this new form for their next life. Made in collaboration with ALEXIA KIRMITSI, an Athens-based fashion label known for its sustainable practices.

This limited-edition series features the work of artist IRINI KARAYANNOPOULOU. Karayannopoulou’s artistic practice weaves a seductive interplay between past and present, blending elements of counterculture, erotica, and vintage fashion in rich, layered compositions that evoke desire and intrigue.

This tote is printed with the piece Japanese Whispers, selected for its bold celebration of pleasure and empowerment that unfolds through the lens of the female gaze.

100% recycled materials + 100% slow fashion
Made in Greece.

This piece is a collaboration between House of Shila (HOS) and Alexia Kirmitsi.

HOS is a creative studio in the pursuit of aesthetic pleasures, and Alexia Kirmitsi a fashion label based in Athens. Both are committed to sustainable and ethical practices of production, including approaches of zero-waste and using recycled materials.

Since launching their first bridal collection in 2016, Alexia Kirmitsi has become world renowned for its “modern, rebellious, free-spirited, ethical, outlandish bride.” HOS’ work is multi-disciplinary spanning boutique hotels and product design to creative direction, curated pop-up events, and publishing. What drives the studio across all its manifestations is a dedication to all things sensually beautiful.

Lorem ipsum, or lipsum as it is sometimes known, is dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs. The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century who is thought to have scrambled parts of Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum for use in a type specimen book.

When your tote needs a wash, give its separate wash separately with similar dark colours. It’s safe to iron, preferred to air dry (tumble drying may cause shrinkage) and avoid bleaching for it will cause discolouration.
