Margarita Chrissaki followed her dream of designing jewelry by establishing her own brand, Maggoosh, at age 19 while studying Jewelry Design at the Gemological Institute of America in New York. Maggoosh went on to be featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and the Financial Times, and is stocked at leading stores worldwide including Liberty London, Le Bon Marché Paris, Intermix New York, and Lane Crawford Shanghai. Maggoosh takes its name from Margarita’s breakdancing nickname, and dance is at the heart of the inspiration behind her jewelry creations. Through the expert fashioning of fine materials into fluid forms, every Maggoosh design embraces and compliments the natural movement of the body. Each piece is uniquely handcrafted by a network of craftsmen in Margarita’s hometown Athens, Greece. The results are elegant adornments that convey sensuality, sophistication and the timeless ambience of vibrant joie de vivre.
