AMPHORA
Blending the textures of acrylic-painted canvas and the sculptural geometry of her homeland’s historical masters, Valia Kapeletzi’s AMPHORA lives halfway between video game render and ancient relic.
A graduate of the London College of Fashion and a former textile developer for the legendary Iris van Herpen, Kapeletzi’s textile sculpture juts out and subtly retreats from the eye, strings of cotton draped in a wave across its drum. It’s a mutable, delicate amber decoration, suggesting movement and dreamlike surreality.
We imagine this piece taking up a prominent place among raw, earthen interior tones.

Lorem ipsum, or lipsum as it is sometimes known, is dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs. The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century who is thought to have scrambled parts of Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum for use in a type specimen book.

This sculpture is made of acrylic paint on cotton canvas and should be handled with the same care one would show a painting. Avoid water and place outside of excessive humidity. A fine duster may be used to clean it.
