HEART VASE
The Heart Vase from Myrto Patramani is shaped like two overlapping heart-shaped leaves, rising organically from a rounded base. The piece is carefully hand-moulded, with subtle variations in form and texture. The cerulean and turquoise glaze evokes river currents or Monet’s water lilies, pooling and thinning across the surface.
This sculptural vase can hold flowers or stand alone. Its layered, organic form makes a strong visual impact on any table, shelf or mantel, bringing a considered, tactile romance to any interior.
Myrto Patramani is Cretan visual artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She holds an Integrated Master’s degree from the Athens School of Fine Arts and is a current ceramics MFA student at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design under the NEON Scholarship program.
In 2020, she received a residency and scholarship through the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and Siena Art Institute (SNF-SART) program, and has completed two Young Artists in Residency (YAIR) programs at Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark.
Her sculptural works and installations, crafted in clay, metal and textiles, explore symbolic connections between objects, humans and nature, drawing inspiration from Greek mythology.
Lorem ipsum, or lipsum as it is sometimes known, is dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs. The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century who is thought to have scrambled parts of Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum for use in a type specimen book.
