Anna Charaktinou (b. 1978, Athens – Greece) is an artist who lives and works in Germany, France and Greece. She studied Painting and Engraving at Athens School of Fine Arts, Stop motion and Engraving at the University of Hildesheim in Germany, Painting and Graphic Design at Universität der Künste (University of Arts) in Berlin. She holds a Meisterschülerin (PhD) degree in Painting from Universität der Künste Berlin.

The artist creates dream worlds with symbolic representations and emotional intensity. A world of powerful silence that gives birth to a mystical reality of fragility and beauty. It is the uploading of an image, of what cannot be seen through the eyes of logic that fascinates us.

The structure of Anna’s works is similar to the structure of a dream that happens underneath the rational surfaces. It is about the Transfiguration from the Hidden into an image. Her artworks are hosted in various Museums in Greece, galleries and private collections worldwide.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece and is sold with the frame shown in the photo. For a custom-made frame, please contact shop@houseofshila.com. As soon as production is complete, you will be notified with your shipping information.

Lorem ipsum, or lipsum as it is sometimes known, is dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs. The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century who is thought to have scrambled parts of Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum for use in a type specimen book.
