Communing with her own personal pantheon of inanimate ‘idols’, the French artist Diane Alexandre creates one-of-a-kind ceramic works to reignite a feeling of child-like wonder.

The Source Vase, a sentimental adobe matte ceramic, looks like a mountaintop bloom. Its mushroom cap shape opens wide to gather and hold the fresh-cut flowers of the Grecian countryside.

This vase is a calming, natural re-centre, a beautiful embellishment to your artist studio or meditation space.

Diane Alexandre is a French born graphic designer, living in between Paris and Athens.

For the past five years, Diane has been developing her sculptural work, in clay and porcelain, marking a point on her ongoing journey, started at a very young age at the feet of a grandfather storyteller, in search of meaning and inspiration in myths and mythological symbolism.

“These idols are a meditative offering,”, Diane states, “to express a gratitude towards people, moments shared, instants of comprehension.

Lorem ipsum, or lipsum as it is sometimes known, is dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs. The passage is attributed to an unknown typesetter in the 15th century who is thought to have scrambled parts of Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum for use in a type specimen book.

This vase is designed with water and sun in mind. However, handmade ceramics such as these have fine details which may become damaged if not handled with care. We recommend rinsing and handwashing.
