Archer Defterios is a Greek-American artist who lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
His work explores the relationships of color, light, and texture to offer new ways of seeing. Using acrylics, oils, and fire as the three main materials in his work, he blends and removes dense bodies of paint from the surface of his compositions, embracing a practice driven by repetition and routine.
