HANDPAINTED MAIOLICA PLATES
Tin-glazed ceramic maiolica plates, a style developed to its zenith in the Iberian Renaissance, comes to new life in the hands of Myrto Patramani.
Each of these nine distinctly hand-painted plates depict in beautiful pastel tones scenes inspired by Greek mythology. The maiolica surface gives the colours depth and clarity, subtly highlighting each scene.

Myrto Patramani is Cretan visual artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She holds an Integrated Master’s degree from the Athens School of Fine Arts and is a current ceramics MFA student at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design under the NEON Scholarship program.
In 2020, she received a residency and scholarship through the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and Siena Art Institute (SNF-SART) program, and has completed two Young Artists in Residency (YAIR) programs at Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark.
Her sculptural works and installations, crafted in clay, metal and textiles, explore symbolic connections between objects, humans and nature, drawing inspiration from Greek mythology.

This glazed ceramic should be hand washed with lukewarm water and soft soap only. Do not place in dishwasher.
