SNAKE RITUEL SET

PRICE €434,00
HEIGHT/LENGTH

Snakes various size 1x 5-20 x 5-8, Cup:4.5x6x7, Carafe: 17x8x8

In Ancient Greece, the snake was a diviner of dreams and healing weapon of the god Asclepius. Artist Diane Alexandre’s Snake Rituel ceramic set revives the ritual traditions of the ancients.

This set includes a carafe, 4 cups and 4 handcrafted snakes coloured in shimmering raven and flashes of teal.

Part sculpture, part function, this set would suit sable or marble decorative palettes in a place where only gods and goddesses come to rest.

Diane Alexandre is a French born graphic designer, living in between Paris and Athens.

For the past five years, Diane has been developing her sculptural work, in clay and porcelain, marking a point on her ongoing journey, started at a very young age at the feet of a grandfather storyteller, in search of meaning and inspiration in myths and mythological symbolism.

“These idols are a meditative offering,”, Diane states, “to express a gratitude towards people, moments shared, instants of comprehension.
